Artist-photographers Antonio and Bobbi Bogaert work as a team for their portrait and commercial studio. People often ask how they are able to work together and stay married, but a love of travel and photography is what brought them together and, after more than 18 years, they are still best friends. Their attitude extends to how they work with their clients and helps them provide excellent quality and service. They both enjoy learning alternative techniques and perspectives on their own and through workshops with other photographers, which helps keep their eyes and their hearts “fresh”.

Antonio hails from Belgium and studied photography while earning a Communications degree. Later, he combined his passion for photography and watersports, spending hundreds of hours in waves from the North Sea to Hawaii photographing windsurfing and surfing. His work has won prizes and been published internationally. He also shares his knowledge and enthusiasm teaching courses and workshops for organizations such as the Durham Arts Council, Durham Technical College and IBM. His fine art is exhibited in galleries and shows in the US, Europe, and in many private collections.

| Manhattan-born Bobbi studied literature and broadcast journalism, and received a B.A. in English. Before returning to her childhood love for visual art, she wrote for textbooks and public relations. Photography pulled on her heartstrings (and purse-strings) more than twenty years ago; she made her first art purchase at a festival with money saved from part time jobs - a fine art photo of eggs and a strawberry. For her first trip to Europe, she bought a 35mm camera and has been an image-maker ever since. Her work appears in galleries, museums and shows and in private collections. |
